Sheffield Hallam University

With almost 24,000 students, 3,000 staff and more than 400 courses to choose from, Sheffield Hallam University is the country's sixth largest.

League tables in the British press consistently place Sheffield Hallam among the top modern universities. Earlier this year, the Higher Education Supplement of The Times ranked us as the highest performing university in England in terms of our ability to combine excellence in teaching and academic research with high quality student support. We are currently home to around 2,000 international students from over 80 different countries who are engaged in study on either full-time programmes or though our exchange links with partner institutions around the globe. We aim to provide every student with a quality education and, as a university with a first-class track record for employability, develop the skills and outlook that will enable them to compete successfully in the global economy.

The City of Sheffield

Sheffield is a vibrant and green city, home to a large and diverse student community. Accommodation is easy to find and the cost of living is lower than in many other parts of the country. There are excellent communication links by road and rail to the rest of the country.

There are countless pubs, clubs, restaurants and music venues all over the city and many different shops within the city centre, or everything you need under one roof at Meadowhall. World class sporting facilities provide the opportunity to watch or take part in all sorts of sports. Beautiful countryside with a range of recreational opportunities is right on the doorstep.
